How to continuously dump dumpsys meminfo into a file?
I am using following command to dump memory info in a file watch -n5 'adb shell dumpsys meminfo > meminfo.txt'
But this overwrites every time it dumps. How do i continuously dump into a file? I want to review the numbers and find a pattern of memory use.

I am new to working exclusively in the terminal and I'm a bit stuck. I'm using a neural network to generate samples of text, and I want to remove all new line characters and carriage returns from each sample. I want to then write the samples to a text file.
So far I have this to write 10,000 samples to a file, but I just can't seem to figure out how to remove the new line characters and carriage returns from each sample before they're written to the file.
for ((i=1;i<=10000;i++)) ; th sample.lua -checkpoint cv/checkpoint_10000.t7 -length 93 ; >> sample.txt ; done
Essentially I have some samples that have carriage returns in the middle of them and just want to get each sample on its own single line. Best approach?

I used Java to implement a distributed algorithm
Birman-Schiper-Stephenson. Every time I run this program, I need to open three terminals and type command
java Server 2,
java Client 0 2,
java Client 1 2separately in three terminals to activate a server and two clients.
Now I want this process to be automatic and I try to use python to write a script to run those java files automatically. I tried the code as below:

adb: error unable to connect for root: closed
:D So far I am very new to this whole ADB and file pulling and stuff and stupidly (yes I was stupid for doing it. I did it for the promise of LTE availability for my phone :3) I replaced my own build.prop using a Root File Manager on my phone, Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-G530H), with the one I got from the internet and let's just say that I somewhat broke it... but luckily I still have the original sitting in my SD Card. However, the way it's broken now, i can't use the same method to replace it again no matter how hard i tried.
The booting is as normal as it can get, but the usage of other apps such as root file managers, games, google play services, and other user installed apps are disabled. Luckily I can still use the rest of it like play store, calls, texting, the built in internet(app) and the such but no new things. I think i's along the lines of soft bricking...?
So far the only thing that I could think of was using this ADB thing but I really don't know how to, using my phone. I couldn't find a link to a tutorial for this phone so if you know one please share it.
So far, I'm only a beginner to this.
My phone was rooted using King Root.
So far, I've tried my newb way and commands: adb root adb remount adb pull /system/build.prop
adb push build.prop /system/build.prop adb shell chmod 644 /system/build.prop adb reboot
adb usb adb devices
adb kill-server adb start-server adb devices
And so far, I haven't used the pull and push parts because of the error "adb: error unable to connect for root: closed" rift from the start of ADB root command.
So, if any one could give me some pointers on this, it'll be great. Thanks again for reading my rant(ish) report.
