Plotting a Python function in Sage Math
I have been trying to plot the Arithmetic-Geometric Mean of
1and some non-negative number
xusing Sage Math, but am struggling to get the
plotfunction to accept a Python function as input:
Yields the following error:
TypeError: Cannot evaluate symbolic expression to a numeric value.
agm(x,y)is defined as follows:
def agm(x,y): x,y = RDF(x),RDF(y) a = (x+y)/2 g = sqrt(x*y) diff = a-g while diff > (1/10**11): newa = (a + g)/2 newg = sqrt(a*g) a,g = newa,newg diff = a - g return a
I have tried substituting
x.n()when plotting, but that doesn't change anything.
How can I plot this Python function?
Plotting functions with SageMath, not Showing
I have a problem where functions that I plot within SageMath aren't visually showing up. Even if I copy and paste code from the SageMath info pages, certain functions will not show up plotted for me. I'm using SageMath 8.1 Notebook. Here's example code:
import numpy as np import matplotlib.pyplot as plt myPlot = plt.plot(np.array([0, 1, 2, 5])) show(myPlot)
Instead of a graph. As far as I can tell, this should output a visual graph rather than just the info in brackets.
Some code I copy from the SageMath Help Pages works, such as:
v = [(1/cos(-pi/2+pi*i/100), tan(-pi/2+pi*i/100)) for i in range(1,200) if i!=100 ] L = [(a/(a^2+b^2), b/(a^2+b^2)) for a,b in v]
Which outputs a visual graph.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
MacOS Sierra: Vagrant up Error
I cloned the file from this link and followed all instructions
So I run "vagrant up" for it to run but it did not work and instead gave me this error of NFS.
I have already checked in my system nfsd is enable and running
