Facebook Graph API request groups access
How can I access the groups via Graph API?
I'm using version 2.11
But when I'm traying to access "https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/" I've obtain an empty data.
Could anyone explain me what I'm doing wrong and how can I fix it?
With user_managed_groups permission, this request only returns your managed groups. Means you are already accessing it. Hope this documentation will help you: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.11/group

Programatically invite/remove users from Facebook
Seems like facebooks API doesnt offer this, the only other alternative I can think of which isnt ideal as facebook's UI will no doubt change frequently is using the selenium web driver here: https://github.com/facebook/php-webdriver
Is there any other way I can get this done without the above implementation?

Search recent media and comment via Instagram API and Graph API
I want to build an app where the app user can from within the app
- search Instagram's most recent media by a search term (Hashtag-Search)
- post comments to Instagram posts
For searching Instagram the Graph API can't be used, because it doesn't has such capability. Therefore I need to use the old Instagram API, correct? But Instagram states "The Instagram Graph API is Now Available to All Developers. For Non-Business Instagram Accounts please continue to use the existing Instagram Platform API". The users of my platform have business accounts which I need for posting comments via the Graph API.
Do I have to use the Instagram API for searches by the app users (1.) and the Graph API for posting comments(2.)?
Is there another way to search for Instagram media which is not against Instagram policies?
iOS App Facebook Login Screen with Logo
I have written an app that uses Facebook login via the
FBSDKLoginButton. The login window shows up and the user can login using their Facebook email and passowrd... that all works great!
I am trying to figure out how to make the login window show our company logo but I cannot find this anywhere in the documentation.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I have seen many other iOS Apps that use FB Login and have their logo displayed so I know it can be done.

What's a good algorithm to get all the posts and comments in a Facebook group?
My ultimate goal is to get all the posts in a Facebook group along with their entire comment threads.
I'm currently using the
/group/feedendpoint, but it is not maintained in an orderly fashion. Each post object has two time fields,
updated_time. The first one as the name says is the time when the post was created. The latter however gets updated whenever some comment is added to the post.
This is how the current code looks like (pseudo-code):
def process_group(group): for post in posts: post_data = parse_data(post) comment_data = get_comments(post_data) save_to_database(post_data) def get_comments(post): return comment_string def main(): while True: for group in groups: process_group(group) if __name__ == "__main__": main()
The script runs in an infinite loop because I want to crawl ALL the posts and comments. Once the
for group in groups:loop gets finished, the script starts from the first group and continues forward.
What I need is a clever way to avoid re-crawling posts and comments that have already been crawled. I tried something with
untilbut as per the Graph API documentation, they only apply on the
PS: I'm not asking anyone to write code; any helpful suggestions as to how to proceed with the algorithm would be appreciated.
fql is deprecated for versions v2.1 and higher
I get an error message as
fql is deprecated for versions v2.1 and higher
And facebook graph has a minimum version of 2.1. So does this mean that fql is history now.
I am trying the following FQL
SELECT attachment FROM stream WHERE post_id = "id"
Get recent photos from the Facebook v2.1+ graph api
Facebook's FQL was deprecated after v2.0. The website I'm working on previously had a "Recent photos" feature that populated recent photos using this FQL:
var fql = 'SELECT object_id, aid, images, album_object_id, created, modified, position, caption FROM photo WHERE aid in (SELECT aid, owner FROM album WHERE owner = me()) ORDER BY created DESC LIMIT 59';
I'm trying to figure out a comparable way to do that using the graph api. the
/photosendpoint is probably what I want, but I can't figure out if it has a valid
In postman I've been messing around with this:
access_tokenis of a FB test account, feel free to go nuts. I'm not getting any debug information. There doesn't appear to be anything in the docs about how to change the order of photos.
This example url might not be the best. There's only 7ish public photos for this account, but I will potentially be getting recent photos from accounts with 1000s of photos. I don't want to just get all photos and reverse the list. I want to the most recent 20 photos in one call.
Any ideas? Is there
orderdocumentation that I've missed?
